In recent years, the Government of India has introduced significant amendments to modernize the criminal legal framework. This webinar will delve deep into the critical comparison of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act, which has governed India’s criminal justice system for over a century, with the newly enacted statutes like the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (2023). These changes substantially shift how criminal laws are interpreted, enforced, and adapted to contemporary societal needs.
