Position: Legal Officer

• Type: Contract basis (initially one year, extendable)
• Location: Mumbai
• Monthly Remuneration: ₹75,000/- (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support and represent TISS in civil/criminal litigation
• Handle RTI matters
• Advise on legal aspects of staff engagements and project contracts
• Serve as member secretary for the Committee against Sexual Harassment
• Vet MoUs and draft standard agreements
• Perform other legal duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Essential:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law with at least 55% aggregate marks
  • Three years of experience as an advocate or in the legal department of a government or renowned organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication, writing, and teamwork skills
• Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree in Law or a diploma in specialized fields of law
  • Skills in Hindi and English communication, writing, and rapport building
