ABOUT THE AMUCM LAW REVIEW

The AMUCM Law Society Review is the flagship journal of Aligarh Muslim University Centre Murshidabad, started with the objective of promoting academic research and proselytize debate on contemporary legal issues. The Review is a yearly, double-blind student reviewed and edited journal, focusing on an inter-disciplinary approach towards legal writing. The sphere of the review is not restricted to any particular field of law but is broad enough to include national as well as international socio-legal approach. We are pleased to announce that the Aligarh Muslim University Centre Murshidabad is going to publish a second Journal of the Law Society. It aims to provide a platform to the academicians, practitioners, researchers and students to express their experiences and opinions on varied issues of contemporary importance, through their erudite articles and research papers. AMUCM Law Society Review 2024 is offering an opportunity to get your insightful writings published in the form of Research Papers, Case Comments, Articles & Essays, and Book/Film Reviews and other such submission for its flagship publication (to be published in the form of a book with ISBN number).

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

THEME

Related to law or have law as the core argument with an intersection with another academic discipline such as technology, politics, science, history, management, etc.

CATEGORIES OF SUBMISSION

Research Articles: 2500-3000 words

Case comments/Short Essays: 1500-2000 words

Book review: 1000 words Note: Word limits are exclusive of endnotes.

ABSTRACT

Authors are requested to submit their papers via email to lawsocietyamucm@gmail.com on or before 25th April, 2024. Upon selection of the manuscript, authors will be notified and may be required to implement certain changes as suggested by the Editorial Board. Authors will be given adequate time to revise and resubmit their manuscripts. It is expected that authors be accommodating of the changes suggested by the Editorial Board.

FORMATTING Font of submission must be Times New Roman and size 12 for the main text as well as the end notes. Line spacing must be 1.5. Alignment must be justified

CITATION/REFERENCE The author must adhere to the endnote style of the Bluebook 20th Edition.

CO-AUTHORSHIP Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.

PLAGIARISM Plagiarism of up to 10% is permissible.

EDITORIAL POLICY

COPYRIGHT TRANSFER

Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in AMU CM Law Review, the copyright shall be transferred to the review. The author(s) hereby agree to transfer all copyright ownership of the manuscript to AMU CM Law Review, including but not limited to the right to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works based on the manuscript. This transfer includes the right to adapt the manuscript for use in electronic or print formats and in future editions of the review

In the event of any conflict of opinion expressed within the manuscript, the author(s) shall be solely responsible. AMUCM Law Review shall not be held accountable for the views or opinions expressed by the author(s) in their submissions. The views expressed in the published manuscripts are those of the individual author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views of the review or its editorial board. Please ensure your acknowledgment and adherence to these terms when submitting your manuscript for consideration..

EXCLUSIVITY

Submitted manuscripts should not be simultaneously considered by any other publication at the time of submission. The author(s) undertake to inform the Editorial Board of AMU CM Law Review immediately if the manuscript is under consideration or if the published manuscript is under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions to the Review will be evaluated by the Editorial Board. The editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript at any point, even after its initial selection. Mere submission shall not confer any claim for publication.
