Position: Legal Officer
- Type: Contract basis (initially one year, extendable)
- Location: Mumbai
- Monthly Remuneration: ₹75,000/- (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and represent TISS in civil/criminal litigation
- Handle RTI matters
- Advise on legal aspects of staff engagements and project contracts
- Serve as member secretary for the Committee against Sexual Harassment
- Vet MoUs and draft standard agreements
- Perform other legal duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law with at least 55% aggregate marks
- Three years of experience as an advocate or in the legal department of a government or renowned organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication, writing, and teamwork skills
- Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Law or a diploma in specialized fields of law
- Skills in Hindi and English communication, writing, and rapport building
