Legal Aid Society of NMIMS Indore is pleased to invite you to the 1st National Legal Aid Policy Drafting Competition, 2024, as part of NMIMS Indore’s National Law Fest.
The aim of this competition is to enhance creativity & practical problem solving aptitude of students, and to encourage them in creating innovative policies that can ensure effective & accessible legal aid delivery system in India.

Established in 2019, our comprehensive five-year semester-based programs lead to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degrees, that offer specialization opportunities in various branches of law. NMIMS is a reputable institution with a strong presence in the field of comprehensive education structure. It is known for its quality faculty, rigorous academic programs, and a history of producing successful leaders.

SAMATVA, our Legal Aid & Awareness Society, stands committed to advocating for public awareness, equal opportunities, and inclusive legal aid delivery mechanism. We actively organize events such as Legal Awareness Campaigns, Legal Aid Camps and more for children, women, street vendors, prison inmates, specially abled etc. to promote our vision of social justice for all.

The theme of our upcoming competition is ‘Equal Justice, Accessible Paths: Legal Aid Policy Making Competition for Divyaangjan.’ We invite you all to participate and contribute innovative policy solutions to ensure equitable legal aid access for persons with disabilities in India.

16th March, 2024- Registration commences
31st March,2024 – Last date for registration
06th April, 2024- Submission of Policy Draft
09th April, 2024- Declaration of five shortlisted policies for presentation
14th April, 2024 – Policy Presentation before a panel of esteemed personalities

Winner – Rs. 5000/- + Trophy
First Runners-Up – Rs. 3000/- + Trophy
All participants will receive E-Certificates of Participation, with the top 5 teams shortlisted for policy presentation being also awarded Certificates of Merit.
